My dad texted me yesterday to tell me that he and my younger brother were going to the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Washington Redskins game tonight in Washington DC. That is a huge deal. It’s a conference game number one, and Donovan Mcnabb is playing for Washington, but he just got traded to Washington from the Eagles this past year. It is a game that everyone wants to see. To top it all off, my dad sent me a text today to tell me that he has 5th row seats right next to where the players come out on to the field. He told me the price he got the tickets for, and it was not expensive at all. My dad was born and raised in Washington DC. He said that he had a childhood friend hook him up with some good tickets to the game. It’s kind of funny how it works out because earlier in the year my dad was talking about how he really wanted to go to a Redskins game. My high school was raffling off Eagles Redskins tickets and my dad entered. He was really excited that he could win, but he lost, but it turned out to work out better for him because he still got Eagles Redskins tickets, in better seats, in Washington territory. It is probably good that he won’t be dressed in Washington gear, because Philly fans don’t tolerate that. My brother is dressed in Eagles apparel, but I think he will be okay. Everyone else in my family is an Eagles fan, so my dad is alone on this one. GO EAGLES!
Going to any MNF game would be sweet, with everything added in to this (conference game and the McNabb situation, as you spoke about) it would be incredible!
ReplyDeleteYou are a good brother. I tend to get a little bitter when I miss these big opportunities and I am not the one to go!
ReplyDeleteYeah that would be a really cool game to go to. That is pretty cool how all that worked out too.
ReplyDeleteVick showed up to play and it just got ugly for the redskins
ReplyDeleteThat game was insane! I can't believe the Eagles scored right on the first play of the game and it just snowballed from there.
ReplyDeleteYou wanted to go to right?? I heard that the tickets for NFL are really expensive. Hope someone gives me the ticket for free^^
